YES! You must attend all classes and receive a passing grade on the final. BTG will then issue you a certificate of completion and then you will be able to use it as soon as it is received. If seeking employment, some organizations or interpreting agencies require the certificate and some require you to be Nationally certified. Please check with the organization or agency you plan on applying to.

YES! This 40-to-64-hour professional development program is designed to prepare bilingual individuals to work as medical interpreters. We train on the tools needed. Novice and experienced medical interpreters are welcomed!

In order to attend the course, you have to be able to speak fluent English and the target language. If you do not pass, you can register again and try again.

YES! As long as we have another candidate who speaks the language for practice. You will also have to pay for the language glossary in addition to the course fee. Please let us know.

If your goal is National certification, this is where we come in. You need to complete a 40 hour Medical Interpreter Training course. We train on the tools needed to be successful and qualified interpreter. Our Bridging the Gap Medical Interpreter Training is a prerequisite for the National exam.
The certificate received is proof of training along with the language proficiency. You can apply to the national certification exams of NBCMI or CCHI. Passing the NBCMI or CCHI exam will make you a Nationally Certified Medical Interpreter.
